Laura Gerig spent more than 30 years on the other side of the table, working for one of the largest insurance carriers in the country, where she handled a wide range of personal injury claims with a focus on complex, high-exposure, and litigated matters. She worked side by side with defense counsel and multiple carriers to evaluate liability, damages, litigation strategy, and case value, and played a role in numerous high-dollar settlements. Today, she puts every bit of that experience to work for injured clients instead of insurance companies.
Over the course of her career, Laura sat in on thousands of claim committees and settlement discussions, giving her a rare, inside understanding of exactly how insurance companies and their defense attorneys evaluate, defend, and try to minimize personal injury claims. She knows the playbook: how the defense approaches litigation, the experts they bring in, and the tactics they use to challenge injuries and downplay medical treatment. That insider knowledge lets her assess each case strategically, anticipate the other side’s moves, and determine whether a client is better served through settlement or litigation. Put simply, Laura knows how the insurance companies think, and she uses it to fight for every dollar her clients are owed.
Outside of work, Laura treasures time with her husband, their two children, and four grandchildren. She also enjoys traveling and experiencing new places and cultures, and playing pickleball with friends.
